Crisis Response
Every widow of a homicide in Jefferson County who is referred within 1 week of loss will receive a survival kit. Built by widows for widows, this survival kit includes a gift card for food, grief workbooks for the family, support, resources, and an invitation to apply for extended 90 day support.
Widows 911 Cohort
Widows within 1 year of loss can apply or be referred to a Widows 911 Cohort. This 90-day program provides widows with peer support, weekly check-ins, childcare, housekeeping, therapy, and more. Widows who participate have access to group and family therapy, peer support, personal wellness services and stipends.
How Does it Work
Widows referred within 1 week of loss receives crisis response.
Any widow can apply for the Widows 911 Cohort. Cohorts are for widows who are ready to commit to their healing and challenge themselves to grow in commitment to overcoming grief.
