$20 for 12: 100 People, 12 Months, Lasting Impact

Our goal is simple: rally 100 people to commit $20 a month for 12 months. Together, that launches Widows 911 — a rapid response fund that delivers immediate, life-saving support to widows in crisis.

When tragedy strikes, bills don’t pause and survival can’t wait. That’s why Widows 911 delivers fast, trauma-informed relief in the first days after loss — when widows need it most.

Widows 911 serves all widows. While we began with a focus on women impacted by gun violence, overdose, or incarceration, we recognize that widows from every background face the same urgent resource gap.

Widows 911 is a comprehensive wraparound services package delivered to widows as soon as possible after loss. 

Widows receive a home visit from trained peer support volunteers with a grief basket. Inside the basket are tangible items (aromatherapy candle, adult and youth grief books, gift cards and flowers). In addition to the tangible items are certificates for each service provided. Recipients must complete intake within 21 days to take advantage of the services.
